What an awesome time of year! I'm just so full of joy today that I had to post! You will have to excuse all of the exclamation points today...I'm just excited. Spring is here and the birds greeting me with songs in the morning, the sun shining through the windows, and the smell of the sweet new grass arising just consumes my spirit! I cant help but sing praises as the boys and I enjoy these days!
A few days ago, I watched as a mommy and daddy robin led their the little ones across our backyard. One parent leading the way and one parent in the rear making sure no one got side tracked. It was such an awesome reminder of the new birth that comes each year with spring. God is so gracious in the ways that he gives life, not only to the plants and animals but to each and every one of us as well!
This spring has been more meaningful to me than any that I have ever experienced. I am constantly being reminded of the awesomeness of my Savior! With Easter just a day away, I can't help but think of Jesus and what he did for each and every one of us. He died so that we could have new life! How exciting! Jesus, God's very own son, perfect in every way, came down to this ugly, corrupted world to pay the price for you and me. He took on death so that you and I could have life everlasting! What an amazing God we have! So as the grass begins to sprout and turn green, when you see baby birds being toured through your lawn, when you see the flowers beginning to display their vibrant colors, be reminded that it is God who gives life to all things! Thank him for that! And most importantly, thank Him for the new life that He gave to you through His Son, Jesus! I'm so thankful He lives in me!
